STRIP & RE-PLATE FACILITY
In many cases, once the original tool begins to cut ineffectively, it can be returned to us in order that we can strip away the original diamond and re-plate to provide a replacement to as new condition.
Even if the tool body has been damaged during service, in many cases just a simple re-machining operation, after stripping, it is generally much more cost effective than making a new tool.
The main customer advantage of this facility is the cumulative cost saving over many re-plated tools as opposed to purchasing new each time.
Any practice that employs a continuous process should consider having more than one tool in the system in order that one remains operational at all times whilst others are being re-plated.
